Nut Information

Nut-free option: Replace almond flour with finely crushed unsweetened cereal or a nut-free low-carb crumble, and replace powdered peanut butter with additional cocoa powder.

💡 Tips

  • Use peppermint extract sparingly because it becomes very strong quickly.
  • Blending the cottage cheese completely removes most of its texture and creates a smooth mousse-like filling.
  • For a stronger chocolate flavor, add extra unsweetened cocoa powder to the base.
  • For more crunch, add the chocolate topping immediately before serving.
  • Small glass jars make excellent individual portions.
  • Keep refrigerated until ready to eat.

❓ Q&A

Can I use Greek yogurt instead of cottage cheese?

Yes. You can replace the cottage cheese with additional Greek yogurt, although the texture will be slightly different and the protein may change.

Can I make this without protein powder?

Yes, but the protein content will be considerably lower. Protein powder is one of the main ingredients responsible for the high-protein nutrition.

Can I use regular chocolate chips?

Yes. Regular dark chocolate chips work, but they will increase the sugar and carbohydrate content.

Can I make it without food coloring?

Absolutely. The dessert will still have the refreshing mint flavor; it simply won’t have the green color.

How long does it last?

Keep covered and refrigerated for approximately 3–4 days.

Can I freeze these jars?

The mint filling can become slightly different in texture after freezing and thawing, so refrigeration is recommended for the best creamy consistency.

How can I make it more chocolatey?

Add another teaspoon of cocoa powder to the crunch layer and use extra dark chocolate chips between the layers.

Can I make this dairy-free?

Yes, but you’ll need dairy-free yogurt, a dairy-free protein powder, dairy-free whipped topping and suitable dairy-free chocolate chips.
