❓ Q&A
Can I use chicken thighs?
Yes. Boneless, skinless chicken thighs work very well and tend to be naturally juicy. Cooking time may vary.
Can I use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise?
Yes. Plain Greek yogurt can replace some or all of the mayonnaise for a lighter, higher-protein topping.
Can I prepare this ahead of time?
Yes. Season the chicken and prepare the topping several hours ahead. Keep refrigerated until you’re ready to bake.
How do I know when it’s done?
The thickest part should reach 165°F (74°C). Avoid relying only on the color of the chicken.
Why is my chicken dry?
Usually because it was cooked too long or the breasts were very thin. Start checking the internal temperature before the estimated cooking time is finished.
Can I freeze it?
Yes. Allow the cooked chicken to cool completely, portion it into airtight containers and freeze. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator and reheat gently.
How long does it last in the refrigerator?
Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3–4 days.
What should I serve with it?
Steamed broccoli, roasted vegetables, cauliflower, asparagus, green beans or a simple cucumber salad all pair well with this chicken.
