Q&A
Q: Can I use only imitation crab?
Yes. Simply replace the shrimp with another ½ lb of imitation crab.
Q: Can I use real crab meat?
Absolutely. Cooked lump crab meat works very well.
Q: Can I make this with tuna?
Yes, although the flavor will be different. Use drained canned tuna in place of the seafood.
Q: Can I make it without mayonnaise?
Yes. Use Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
Q: How long does it last?
Keep refrigerated in an airtight container and use within 2–3 days.
Q: Can I freeze it?
Freezing isn’t recommended because the creamy dressing can separate and become watery after thawing.
Q: Is imitation crab low-carb?
Not usually. Imitation crab commonly contains added starches and carbohydrates, so check the nutrition label if you’re following a strict low-carb diet.
